Good news for travelers: Fuel prices not expected to increase into summer months!

It has been confirmed by the government and AAA that gas prices will be lower than expected as we move forward into the summer months. The reason behind this decrease is the weak economy in Europe. The price of oil fell nearly 12% recently; making it cheaper for refineries to make gasoline along with other fuels.

Experts are now predicting full flights, and cheaper airfare than first thought. Travelers going by way of automobile can look forward to a break at the pump as well.

Although there are signs that the economy is steadily improving, there are still many families who are stuck paying for timeshares they no longer want or can afford. If you are one of these timeshare owners who need a way out, Transfer on the Spot will relieve you of your timeshare obligations for good.

Legal Obligations Of Timeshare Don’t Stop Even After Death

For one woman in Shoreline, Wash.; the death of her son was unexpected.  The bills he left behind for his timeshare were piling up, and the efforts Mary Gronlund made to cancel the contract were to no avail. Mary was told by Worldmark Timeshare Company to simply send a copy of her son’s death certificate in order to cancel his timeshare contract which she did only to receive notices in the mail regarding her son’s unpaid timeshare fees.

For Months, Mary continually received letters from Worldmark stating that payments needed to be made along with over-due charges. All in all around $13,000 was what Worldmark was requesting from David Gronlunds estate. The story was soon caught on by KIRO 7 news station, Worldmark cancelled the contract soon after. According to Worldmark, the company “identified a system error, which delayed the cancellation process, and inadvertently caused Ms. Gronlund to be contacted.”

It is advised for anyone who plans to purchase a timeshare that you first ask questions and educate yourself on what you’re really getting yourself into prior to signing a contract. Questions such as ‘what happens when I die? How long does this membership last? Who’s responsible if something happens to me?’ it is imperative that the answers are in writing, because the families of timeshare owners will more than likely have to deal with the fees in the event of the owner’s death.

These days it seems like owning a timeshare is a scam itself, so getting out of a timeshare contract is a breeding ground for bogus timeshare resale companies. If you are looking for the honest and legitimate way out of your timeshare contract, Transfer on the Spot will get you out.

New Jersey Timeshare Fraud Scam: 16 Individuals charged

In a recent scam regarding timeshare mail fraud, nine people have been arrested in New Jersey. Seven others have also been charged in other states involving the conspiracy that milked $2.4 million out of victims who were looking for a way out of their timeshare ownership.

The Vacation Ownership Group began to be investigated by law enforcement in July of 2010, and the investigation lead to the discovery of the defendant’s involvement in the fraudulent scheme from March 2009 to September 2011. It was found that the accused would often use fake identities to contact and convince desperate timeshare owners that VO group could relieve them of their timeshare obligations by simply wiring money to pay off their timeshare mortgages. The timeshare owners were given the impression that they would be able to pay off their mortgage balance at a substantially reduced amount in order to get the property cancelled out of their name or sold. Rather than fulfilling these services, VO group conspirators used the profits for their personal use.

If convicted, each defendant will stand to face 20 years in prison along with a $250,000 fine.

The timeshare industry is surrounded by scams. You are first scammed into a timeshare contract, believing owning one would be an investment only to find out that there is no real value in owning the property. You are then contacted by resale companies such as the one mentioned above claiming they can get you out of your timeshare for good once you pay upfront fees. Don’t waste another dime on your timeshare, or the timeshare resale scammers. Get out of your timeshare the right way with Transfer on the Spot.

Travel The World For Free!

5 Ways To Make Your Way Around The Globe Without Paying A Penny

Below you will find a complied list of what some travelers do to ensure they don’t spend a single cent on their travel expenses.

  1. Ambassador’s Butler- This particular Idea comes from Panama as one traveler contacted the U.S. embassy there requesting to speak to the ambassador. As crazy it may sound, the Ambassadors will usually oblige to speaking with U.S. citizens as it is pretty much their duty to attend to the needs of citizens of the U.S. After a long discussion this traveler convinced the Ambassador to become his butler for a day. The butler’s duties consisted of cleaning the mansions pool, serving wine, and opening doors.
  2.   Time for a Pillow Fight- This eccentric traveler had the idea of hosting a pillow fight in the streets of San Francisco to cover his costs to fly to Central America. Surprisingly, many people including those of business origin were more than willing to pay a fee to participate in this pillow fight. By the end of the day this traveler was able to afford his $300 trip to Costa Rica.
  3.   Hill Climbing Assistant- Again we encounter the odd yet amusing ideas from this traveler who in this case provided services to the people in the streets of San Francisco as a “Hill Helper”. As a hill helper, tourists were simply pushed up the hills of San Francisco that would otherwise be a very tiring feat to accomplish on their own knowing the hilly terrain that is San Francisco. This tsk is not limited to San Francisco however; you can also see “hill helpers” in places like Rio de Janeiro and the Himalayas.
  4. The Human Sofa- Yet another unconventional job you can offer to fellow tourists to cover expenses on your trip, become the human sofa! This is to say you are strong enough to be on all four limbs while passerby’s need a quick break and have nowhere else to sit to take a break for a fee of course.
  5. Porter- You can apply as a porter to different hiking agencies around the world. As long you have the proven strength it takes to carry 50lbs of luggage consistently uphill or through tough terrain, many of the agencies would not mind providing you with food and shelter for your services.

These tasks are not for everyone, but if you have the proper strength, motivation, and personality; it should seem more like an privilege rather than a job, all while traveling to amazing destinations around the world. If you are an unlucky timeshare owner who cannot enjoy traveling due to your vacation ownership putting a damper on your financial state, get out of you contract now with Transfer on the Spot.

Top Five Cruise Ideas For Adventure Travelers

With an “Adventure Cruise” you will be placed on a smaller ship, there will be fewer amenities, but you will have access to more sites that larger ships cannot go to such as: small islands, bays, inlets, and shorelines.

Below you will find a compiled list of the top five best adventure cruises.

The Nile: Being the longest river in the world, you will sail down a 124 mile stretch. You will be in awe as you pass through the vast deserts, tiny villages, ancient landmarks, and the ancient Egyptian cities of Aswan and Luxor. Many of these sites would be difficult to reach by land, so travelers should consider it a privilege to view them. Depending on the cruise operator, your stops may vary, but you will more than likely view the two most popular temples Kom Ombo and Edfu.

Iceland: Iceland is known for its extreme environment. With its dramatic volcanic eruptions, lush countryside, and pristine glaciers; travelers will have amazing views no matter what area your cruise ventures into.

Antarctica: The wildlife alone should entice you to take this cruise. You will experience orca whales, penguins, leopard seals, sea lions, and an array of seabird species. You would not be able to experience these locations by land travel, so this cruise gives you plenty of opportunity to see sites that others would not be so fortunate to see. This cruise is one of if not the top adventure cruise to take.

Canals of Southern France: Passing through French wine country, you will have picturesque views of the villages, historic castles, rolling countryside, and beautiful vineyards. You will be able to explore these amazing landmarks as your ship makes it’s stops throughout the south of France.

Galapagos Islands: The only way you will be able to see all of the islands of Galapagos worth seeing is by way of small ship. There are only a few of the islands that are actually inhabited. There is only one airport for all the islands inhabitants, so being on the cruise is considered a floating hotel for its passengers. You will go from island to island exploring with expert guided tours on shore.

Do not waste another minute stuck in your timeshare. Stop wasting your finances on unfavorable maintenance fees and special assessments. Transfer on the Spot will get you out of your timeshare contract.
